Dear all at BaseX,
Due to memory limitations,
One has to transform big xml data in chuncks, applying the same XSLT stylesheet several times.
For efficiency purposes, do you plan to add compiled XSLT support in the xslt module ?
Thank you for your fantastic job.

we haven't thought about that yet, but it could be an interesting option.. Do you work with Saxon or the default 1.0 transformer?

Mainly Saxon, because of XSLT2 support.
regards

Thanks. Out of interest (my experiencees in this area are limited): do you have some clue what needs to be done to support compile compiled XSLT2 expressions in BaseX?
Christian
Written for BaseX 7.0. BaseX may have changed since: please check the current documentation.
