Hi, I am getting this error while trying to run xquery inside Eclipse. I followed all the steps mentioned in BaseX-Eclipse integration documentation. Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
     at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217)
     at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
     at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205)
     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321)
     at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294)
     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266)
Could not find the main class: . Program will exit.
I could understand that this is a classpath error but i am unable to rectify it on my own. could any one help me to overcome this issue. Thanks, Nivas

Hi, just followed the steps in the documentation and for me it works fine. Maybe you missed point nr. 5 for the standalone version? *5. Choose "org.basex.BaseX" as "Main class"* * * ? Nice day, Lukas

I can reproduce the issue with OpenJDK 7. I guess the problem is that the eclipse plugin does not play well with non-Sun/Oracle JRE, and I'd be surprised if the problem is in BaseX... ;) Dimitar
