Hi! I seem to have some problems with creating or renaming databases with dots in their names. From java using create (I'm using CreateColl) they are created fine, but from the gui the last set is truncated (something.dot1.dot2 -> something.dot1). Rename (AlterDB from 6.1.7) can't rename a db with dots in its name, but no BaseXException is raised. Is it a bug, or just using dots in the names (which are directory names of course) is not advised? Thanks! Szabolcs

Szabolcs, thanks for trying the new "alter db" command in the latest version of BaseX. As you correctly guessed, dots should be avoided in database names. We might enforce the removal of dots and other special characters more low-level in the code to reduce the number of side effects. Hope this helps, Christian
