Can you tell if there are any differences between the two machines?

I’ve just installed the same version of the Oracle JDK binary as you did, and "java -version" gives me a slightly different output: java version "18.0.2" 2022-07-19 Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 18.0.2+9-61) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 18.0.2+9-61, mixed mode, sharing) For some reason, the quotes seem to be missing in your version. Maybe we can convince our installer (which indeed relies on the java -version output) to ignore quotes? Until then, I assume the Adoptium distributions should do the job [1]? Hello, Congrats on the BaseX 10.0 release. I tried to install BaseX 10.0 on my two computers. First computer (Windows 10 OS) - I installed Java JDK jdk-18_windows-x64_bin.exe - Installation of the BaseX 10.0 went without any problem. BaseX GUI is working without any problems. Second computer (Windows 10 OS) is giving me a grief. - I installed the same Java JDK jdk-18_windows-x64_bin.exe - Installation of the BaseX 10.0 is producing the following error message: " Please install Java 11 or higher before executing the installer." My troubleshooting steps: (1) At the command prompt, c:\>java --version, shows the following java 18.0.2 2022-07-19 Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 18.0.2+9-61) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 18.0.2+9-61, mixed mode, sharing) (2) I added to the System Environment Variable Path, the following: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk-18.0.2\bin\ So far, no progress. The same " Please install Java 11 or higher before executing the installer." error message. Pleas advise. Regards, Yitzhak Khabinsky
