Hi,
I am looking for a way to determine for a module what external variables are defined.
Neither
inspect:module [1] or inspect:xqdoc seem to return this information.I wonder if adding an *external *attribute to the inspect:module o/p for
variables (and functions?) would be a solution. e.g.
<variable name="samples:test-string" uri="http://basex.org/modules/samples"
type="xs:string" *external="true"*>
<description>This is a sample string.</description>
</variable>CG

Sounds like a reasonable extension. Maybe it could also be added to the xqDoc specification, which was basically done for XQuery 1.0. However, as far as I know, Darin McBeath will be happy to add extensions to the spec [1,2].

Thanks.
I will look at trying to get this added to xqdoc.
/Andy
PS I was a bit sad to miss Prague this year. Do you plan to publish links to papers, videos etc from the BaseX Prague user group?

Written for BaseX 8.4. BaseX may have changed since: please check the current documentation.
