The downloads on https://www.java.com/ are limited to Java 8. If you are looking for a suitable distribution, we recommend the [https://adoptium.net/ JRE packages from Adoptium]. The JRE packages are sufficient for running BaseX, but you can also install the JDK (Java Development Kit).
