==Prerequisites==
* BaseX is being developed with the [httphttps://www.eclipse.org /downloads/ EclipseIDE for Java Developers] environment. Other (other IDEs are like IntelliJ IDEA can be used as well in our community, but are not supported by our team).* The (included) [http://www.eclipse.org/egit/ EGit] plugin can be used allows you to check out the latest sources from our repository use [[Git]] within Eclipse.* The (included) [httphttps://m2eclipsewww.sonatypeeclipse.org m2eclipse/m2e/ m2e] plugin is required to work with packages other than the main project; it adds provides [[Maven]] support to Eclipse.
* Additional coding guidelines are defined via Checkstyle and can be integrated with the [http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net eclipse-cs] plugin.
* Other Eclipse plugins we frequently use are [http://findbugs.sourceforge.net/ FindBugs] to analyze Java byte code, [http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/platform-core/downloads.php Core Tools] to find unreferenced members, and the code coverage tool [http://www.eclemma.org/ EclEmma].
