This page presents the replica set, internal communication and mechanism within a replica set and means to communicate with a replica set including protocol information.
A replica set consist of at most one primary and a theoretically unlimited number of secondaries.
A client can communicate with the members within a replica set by using a MemberSession. After establishing a TCP connection to the TCP port of a BaseXMember the authentication process works as follows:
