For running BaseX, all All you need is an installed installation of Java 1.6 and the BaseX application. As such it BaseX is platform-independant and should run on any platform that has a Java Virtual Machine available. BaseX has been tested on Windows (2000, XP, Vista, 7), Max OS X (10.x), Linux(SuSE xxx, Debian) and OpenBSD (4.x).
You need to have A Runtime Environment of Java 1.6 installed(JRE) is needed to run BaseX. If you haven't installed it yet, please visit [http://www.java.com java.com].
