This tutorial describes an example for creating a backup and restoring the database within BaseX.

Requirements

  • <a href="maven/org/basex/basex/6.3.1/basex-6.3.1.jar">basex.jar</a>: Main code


Example

  1. Start a BaseXGUI and create a new database in File/New... with your xml document.
  2. Go to File/Manage... and create a backup of your database. A backup of your database will be written to the database folder.
  3. Add a document: add as doc1 <doc1/>
  4. Add another document: add as doc2 <doc2/>
  5. Go to File/Manage... and restore your database. The database will be restored with the latest backup belonging to the database.
